HowDo?! Yorkshire is an arts marketing company specialising in leaflet and flyer distribution in Yorkshire.

We distribute flyers, posters and brochures to community locations across Yorkshire. From cafes and bars, through to community centres, libraries, galleries, theatres, universities and chip shops, HowDo?! serves diverse communities and helps arts and community organisations build new audiences, encouraging regional cross promotion and creating a greater sense of cultural activity in Yorkshire.

We're currently looking for people to join our team in the following areas:


Distribution Worker

For HowDo?! Yorkshire and based at Bread+Roses, North Parade, Bradford

£9.50ph + expenses + pro-rata holiday pay
Ongoing casual contract (freelance or zero hours)

We are looking for confident and hardworking distribution workers to work with us promoting regional arts events and distributing printed flyers and magazines. You will work as part of a team, often with a delivery driver and sometimes independently using public transport, to deliver packages of flyers and magazines to community locations across the Yorkshire region. We also offer door-to-door distribution and hand-to-hand promotions on the street, and the role includes some administrative duties such as distribution reports and trip research.

Each distribution run includes hundreds of locations and the job can be complex and physically demanding. You will gain experience in organising and communicating as part of a team, and you will get to know Yorkshire.

If you’re a confident individual who is passionate about promoting regional arts and community events, we would like to meet you. For this position, you should be creative and comfortable working independently, and the ideal candidate will be accustomed to a quick paced, physical job.

Distribution Driver with own small van/large car

For HowDo?! Yorkshire and based at Bread+Roses, North Parade, Bradford.

£10.50ph + expenses + pro-rata holiday pay
Ongoing casual contract (freelance or zero hours)

Driving on prearranged routes delivering printed material to community locations in a local area of West Yorkshire. Often a physically demanding role, driving long days (9am-5pm), working independently. Worker must own their own small van / large car. Full training of distribution service provided and additional vehicle wear + tear expenses paid.

Three month probation period.

Flexible working Monday-Friday, usual hours 8am-6pm. Approx. 5 working days per month on average.

Experienced driver, exceptional local knowledge, clean driving license, and a passion for the arts and/or other local culture such as sports, community and voluntary sector or similar.

Key responsibilities

  • Delivering packages of flyers and magazines to community locations in any one of 26 areas across Yorkshire.
  • Passionately promoting our client’s events.
  • Keeping notes on the job & add new venues so that we can update our master database.

Requirements

  • Extremely hard working and diligent.
  • Passionate about the arts and/or other Yorkshire culture such as sports, community, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of Yorkshire region.
